System Architecture

The system consists of a mechanical framework, optical illumination module, sample testing platform, control and data processing unit, and software system. It is designed for stable and precise measurement of flatness and image distortion in tempered glass.

The mechanical structure adopts a high-strength frame design, providing stable support for both the illumination module and the sample testing platform. The overall structure offers excellent rigidity, effectively reducing the influence of external vibration on measurement results, ensuring long-term operational stability and reliability.

The illumination module utilizes high-stability LED light sources. Through edge-light injection, uniform scattered illumination is formed inside the glass. This enhances the visibility of internal defects, impurities, bubbles, and cracks. The light source maintains stable brightness and high uniformity, making it suitable for continuous inspection while ensuring reliable and consistent results.

The sample testing platform is designed to support and secure tempered glass samples, ensuring stable positioning during inspection. The robust platform structure accommodates glass of different sizes and thicknesses. Combined with the edge-lighting method, it enables clear observation of internal and edge defects, improving inspection accuracy and repeatability.

The electrical control unit integrates power management, light source control, and safety protection functions to enable centralized system control and stable operation. The control system is easy to operate and highly reliable, effectively ensuring equipment safety and extending the overall service life of the system.

Core Functions

The CM-LED Edge Light Inspection System is designed in accordance with GB11614 (Flat Glass) standards. It utilizes high-brightness LED edge illumination to clearly reveal internal and surface defects of glass through light scattering, making it suitable for visual quality inspection of various glass products.

Measurement
Capabilities

  • Surface defect inspection for flat glass

  • Inspection of tempered glass, insulating glass, and laminated glass

  • Observation of edge (cross-section) defects

  • Detection of surface scratches, bubbles, and inclusions

  • Dual light source modes: green light and white light

Testing Process

  • Glass sample is inserted horizontally into the illumination slot

  • LED light source enters from the glass edge or front surface

  •      Defects become visible on the glass surface through light       scattering

  • Operator performs visual inspection and defect assessment

  • Supports inspection of different glass thicknesses and specifications
